Statement of Faith

The Word of God

We believe that the Scriptures, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are the divinely inspired Word of God, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. The Bible is the complete and sufficient revelation of God’s will for salvation and holy living, and remains unchanging and enduring forever (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:89, 160; Matthew 5:18). Scripture is the final authority for truth, teaching, and conduct (Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:15-17).

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully and equally God, yet they are distinct in person and role. God is self-existent, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and sovereign over all creation. He is holy, just, loving, and immutable. While He is beyond full human comprehension, He is knowable through His Word, the person of Jesus Christ, and His creation (John 14:26; 16:13-15; Acts 2:33; Psalm 90:1-2; James 1:17; Malachi 3:6; Romans 9:15-16).

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, who ordains all things according to His perfect will and for His glory (Ephesians 1:11). He is the Father of Jesus Christ and of all believers, and He is the head of Christ (John 10:30; 1 Corinthians 11:3).

God the Son

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and is fully God and fully man. He is the Savior of mankind, who, by His sacrificial death on the cross, atoned for the sins of all who will believe in Him, and by His resurrection, conquered sin and death. Jesus is now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for believers, and will one day return to judge the world in righteousness (John 1:1, 14; 3:16; Philippians 2:5-11; 1 Peter 2:24; Romans 3:24-25).

God the Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, and is equal in deity and glory. The Holy Spirit convicts mankind of sin, regenerates the believer, empowers them to live a holy life, and equips them for service in the kingdom of God. He indwells every believer, sealing them until the day of redemption and guiding them into all truth (John 14:26; 16:8-13; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:14-16).

Angels & Satan

We believe that angels are created beings who serve God and minister to His people (Hebrews 1:14). We believe that Satan is a fallen angel who rebelled against God and now works to deceive and destroy humanity. He is the enemy of God and of all who belong to Christ. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Satan’s power has been broken, and he is ultimately destined for eternal punishment (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-19; Revelation 20:10).

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God to worship Him, enjoy fellowship with Him, and steward creation (Genesis 1:26-28). However, through the fall of Adam and Eve, sin entered the world, and death through sin. Every human being inherits a sinful nature and is accountable to God (Romans 5:12-19; 1 Corinthians 15:22). Apart from Jesus Christ, all people are spiritually dead, lost in sin, and unable to come to God on their own (Ephesians 2:1-3; John 3:18; John 14:6).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, granted through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is not earned by works but is made possible through the death and resurrection of Christ, which provides forgiveness for sins and reconciliation with God. This salvation is available to all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ, and is by His grace alone that anyone is saved (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; Acts 4:12).

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the gospel, disciple believers, and serve in the world (Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18). We believe that the local church is the visible expression of the universal Church, and that Christians are called to gather together for worship, teaching, fellowship, and mutual accountability (Hebrews 10:24-25; Acts 2:42).

Marriage &
Family

We believe that marriage is a sacred institution established by God between one man and one woman. It is designed for companionship, procreation, and to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:22-33). We affirm the sanctity of human life and hold that any sexual activity outside of a marriage between one man and one woman, including homosexuality, adultery, fornication, and pornography, is sinful. We encourage all believers to live according to biblical standards of purity (Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Hebrews 13:4).

Future Events

We believe in the bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth to establish His kingdom. He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead, rewarding those who have believed and obeyed the Gospel and punishing those who have not. The righteous will dwell with God forever in a new heaven and a new earth, while the wicked will be eternally separated from God in the lake of fire (Acts 1:11; Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 25:31-46; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
